General info
There were 172 participants in the main runs and 136 participants in the Junior and Fun Run in 2017; participant numbers are increasing year on year.

YTRRC holds the race licence for this event and kindly allows us use of their equipment (race signs, florescent bibs, sign stakes, loud hailer etc). They also conduct the race risk assessments. Runner details are collected from registration forms and entered onto the Race Master program. These races do not have timing chips; all race numbers and times are manually noted and the info manually entered onto Race Master to work out winners of the various age categories.

A team of course layers will have been busy from early on Saturday as well as Sunday mornings to lay all the flags, signs, mile markers etc along the race routes. Off-road vehicles as well as leg work is used to access various sections of the course that are not possible to access by normal vehicle car.

St Johns Ambulance is booked should any runners require first aid treatment. The police and local Parish Council have also been advised of this event.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
For this event to run successfully we need approximately 50 volunteers so please volunteer in whatever capacity you can.

It’s really helpful if you can advise the time periods that you are able to volunteer for as it may be that you will be able to volunteer for more than one job. Your job preference will be taken into account although it may not always be possible to place you in your preferred role.
